Contemporary Notting Hill Apartments Near Hyde Park | Apartment in Lancaster Gate, England

“We arrived at the appartment from Stansted airport, by taking a Coach (National Express - travel time 2 hours) directly to Paddington station (12 min walking distance). The street has a very good access to restaurants, public transport (bus stop in front of the building, metro very close). There are a lot of supermarkets in the area. Entrance in the building was easy to find. Self check in, keys in a box (easy to find once you receive the instructions). Building was old, but recent renovated. Stairs up to the appartment (2nd floor) a bit steep and narrow (picture attached) - not easy for people with mobility issues. The original windows (not closing) are doubled by some new ones (very thin). You can hear the sound of the street from the living room, but it is not so loud during the night. In the bedroom you can see the back side of the building, with a lot of ventilation ducts (a little noise in the evening and smell from restaurants food). Bathroom has its own boiler. Very good for keeping the water warm, but not good if your family is big or stays a lot in the shower (hot water finishes and you have to wait). Kitchen has very good utilities, everything you need, even microwave oven, plates, glasses and coffee machine. Very clean overall. Bed lining and towels very clean. There were enough towels and shower gel. Big screen TV. There is no Air conditioning, but there are 2 Air fans, which were enough (depending on the weather). There are also electric heaters for winter.”
