Designed by Frank C. Clark and built in 1917, this Hotel carries the character of an older home with a rural feel and easy access to nearby stops in town. Hillcrest Orchard has stood in the Rogue Valley for more than a century, and its history gives the setting a rare sense of place.Inside, the home is set up for groups, with five bedrooms, five bathrooms, and a full kitchen for everyday meals. Air conditioning, heating, and a coffee and tea maker add practical comfort, while the refrigerator, microwave, stovetop, cookware, dishes, and utensils make it easy to settle in. Some sleeping porches are available in summer months only, and can accommodate up to eight additional guests for an added fee. One double room is reached by walking through another bedroom, with a door separating the rooms, and the queen bedroom is small. The nightly fee covers up to 10 guests.The house is available as the entire home, except for one storage room, storage closet, attic, and basement. Check-in starts at 3:00 PM with contactless arrival available, and check-out is before 11:00 AM. Children are welcome, pets are allowed, and smoking and events are not permitted. Because of the age of the house, the fireplaces are not for use, and the space is not child proofed. Staying here feels grounded and lived in, with a historic setting that stays close to Medford while giving you room to slow down.

“Our family of 10, parents, their children and grandchildren, came to spend the holidays together. We had a great time in a fabulous property with plenty of room to all gather for meals and games or have some quiet time in our own space. Everyone enjoyed the adjacent coffee shop and tasting room complete with games. Several close options for hiking and groceries were just a mile or two away.”

“Great place and location for 12-16 people, but they have adjacent properties to add more families. Since main residence is 100+ old, it's historical place. Swimming Pool is reasonable size with pool table, ping pong. They are remodeling around activities area. Looks like they had tennis court and basketball court. It takes one hour and forty minutes to reach Crater Lake. Within 20 minutes, lot of lakes and river access.”

“This is a very unique and special property. It has the charm of a 100 yr old farmhouse with sleeping porches and a butler’s pantry with updated comfort and convenience. The owners were super responsive and accommodating. We had a great time seeing theater in nearby Ashland, hiking, river rafting and just hanging out in the house together.”
