Positive: Location is close to transportation, subway, market etc. staff was friendly.
Negative: It is a very noisy area. I woke up at least three or four times every night because of the noise, which does not come only from the street. There was also a very distracting noise coming from the radiator. The bathroom is exceptionally small.
Summary: A decent place to stay if you can sleep through just about anything.

Positive: The apartment has a great location, very close to the subway, with plenty of restaurants and everything you need nearby. The area felt safe, and having a kitchen in the apartment was very convenient. The host was also very responsive and helpful.
Negative: The main downside is that the apartment is on the first floor, so it can be quite noisy from the street, especially at night. We also noticed a few cockroaches during our stay. There was sometimes a lot of trash left on the street, and we saw some rats outside. However, this is Manhattan, so some level of street noise and urban issues is probably to be expected.
Summary: Overall, a convenient option if location and easy access to the subway are your priorities.
