87 Micklegate 87 Micklegate, YORK | Apartment in York, England

Micklegate mornings, timber-framed light, a kitchen across three floors.
87 Micklegate is an Apartment in York with a rare sense of age and texture. Set above an antique shop on Micklegate, the home sits within the city walls and puts you close to York Railway Station, Partisan Bistro, and the bars and restaurants along this historic street. The building dates back to the 1500s, and its timber frame, stone flagged hallway, and detailed beams give the stay a layered, lived-in character from the moment you step inside. You collect your keys nearby, then head through the front door and into a space that feels firmly rooted in the center of the city. Spread across three floors, the apartment is arranged for easy group time and quiet corners. There is a large kitchen and dining room for meals at home, three bedrooms with two doubles and a twin, and a bathroom or shower room on each floor. In the attic, the beamed living room adds a relaxed place to wind down, with leather chairs and beanbags, while the small rear yard offers a simple spot to sit out when the weather allows. Internet, TV, laundry, and kitchen facilities support longer stays, and the balcony or terrace feature is available where listed. The practical details matter here too. This is an old timber property with uneven stairs, low ceilings, and doorways that ask you to slow down and move carefully, which is part of its character as much as the craftsmanship. Pet friendly stays are allowed, and child friendly space makes the layout flexible for different kinds of trips. With Micklegate on your doorstep and the station a short walk away, 87 Micklegate keeps you close to the city while giving you a private, memorable base to return to at the end of the day.
