Positive: Location is perfect, decoration is perfect, facilities are perfect. Most importantly, the owner is being so kind, patient and helpful throughout the whole stay!!!! Thank for Carlo! Also I had my best ever Panettone at breakfast and completely change my impression about this Christmas bread!

Positive: Carlo is born and raised in Alba, purchased this place in ‘90’s, worked in the fashion industry for 30 years in all over Europe and turned his place into Alma B&B in 2024. This should be the best B&B in Alba in terms of facilities, breakfast, and everything else.
Facilities:
This place maintains architecture style of this region in the beginning of the 20th century including the beautiful ceiling painting in each room. The rooms are beautifully decorated by Carlo’s wife, Silvia who is an architect. Carlo could’ve added an additional room in the living room space, but he didn’t, to keep his place as is, which gives you a feeling that you’re invited to your friend’s house in Alba. Of course, the room and everything is perfectly clean and bedding and amenities are also almost 5-star hotel quality. No need to mention the location. It’s just in the center of the city.
Breakfast:
I’m not a big fan of big breakfast in B&B’s and asked for just simple bread, but it was still impressive. Once again, the quality is exceptional. Coffee was good and Silvia actually made me freshly squeezed orange juice herself!
Other things:
Here’s what Carlo helped me with my stay in Alba.
1. Recommended best local restaurants which were fantastic
2. Connected me to a white truffle hunter so that I could buy Alba white truffle at a bargain price
He can also introduce good Barolo winery for tasting and all the historic places in Alba for sightseeing as well.
Alma B&B was such a nice surprise for me on this trip to Alba. You won’t regret it.
Negative: Nothing to complain about. The price must be on the higher side of spectrum for a B&B in Alba, but if you consider the quality, it's actually a bargain.

Breakfast was plentiful, many different and delicious cold cuts,cheeses, cakes (some home made) and choice of terrific fresh espresso, macchiato and cappuccino. Carlo met us blocks away from Alma (in pedestrian zone) and guided us to free private parking in courtyard of historic building of Alma.
Negative:
Everything was perfect including the roomy,quiet accommodation with high ceilings and even a terrific stereo system.

Alma B&B is a great place to stay in the center of Alba. It is comfortable, quiet, clean and well taken care off. Carlo is a wonderful host. He is very kind, helpful and will go out of his way with preparing a great breakfast , giving you travel ideas or will book great restaurants for you. We really loved staying at Alma !

The B&B was beautifully renovated and well furnished. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom spacious with dual sinks! Room was also quiet even with it being in the middle of the town. The breakfast spread was delicious with fresh fruit, pastries, and savory dishes. The location was perfect for those who want the convenience of the city. We loved coming back to the place after dinner and chilling in the common area, playing records. Carlo is the best host and really made us feel at home. Would highly recommend staying here!

We have stayed three nights in this new, beautiful B&B. We had the best time! The host are incredibly kind, helpfull and welcoming. The room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. The common area was very cozy and really felt like a home. The breakfast was very delicious, especially the home made cakes. Evenmore, the interior looked stunning and very nicely done. We want to thank Carlo and Silvia for their hospitality and their amazing help during our stay. We will be back for sure and we will definitely recommend it to our friends to come here!
