Altafiumara Resort Spa | Hotel in Villa San Giovanni, Calabria

Altafiumara Resort & Spa is a hotel in Villa San Giovanni set on a high rocky stretch of coast, between Villa San Giovanni and Scilla, with open views toward the Sicilian coast. The setting combines broad parkland with a quiet sense of distance from the city rhythm, while still keeping Reggio Calabria within practical reach. The grounds are laid out with botanical gardens and modern sculptures, giving the property a measured, gallery-like feel as you move through it. Inside, the rooms are classically furnished and designed for a comfortable stay, with modern touches that support both short visits and longer trips. Some rooms include furnished patios, and wired internet is available in every room for an additional cost. At Altafiumara Resort & Spa, the focus stays on comfort and ease. Guests can spend time at the outdoor pool or move into the wellness center and spa, where the indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, and massage treatments create a slower pace after a day out. The property also offers a 24-hour front desk, free private parking, and meeting rooms, which makes arrival and daily logistics straightforward. For meals and drinks, the restaurant serves Mediterranean and traditional Calabrian dishes, with ingredients drawn in part from the resort’s own herb garden, and the wine cellar adds depth to the dining experience. The overall setting feels calm and carefully kept, with green space, sea views, and a clear sense of place. It is a stay that suits travelers who want the structure of Hotels in Villa San Giovanni and the visual pull of the coast, all in one address.
