Summary: Fantastic friendly staff. The accommodation is above a beautiful bougie restaurant where you have good quality food and a generous continental breakfast. If only the rooms reflected this as they need modernising and very noisy if you’re on the square. We didn’t mind this at all as tended to spend little time in the room itself but others may not like this level of comfort.
Perfectly serviceable if you don’t mind basic but in the best possible location.

Summary: The room was basic but very clean. The showers are VERY hot, make sure you turn the cold water on first or you will struggle to turn the hot off. Staff very pleasant.
The communal areas such as the lift and stairways were less clean and had a quite unpleasant smell at times. The bar was very cluttered and I struggle to see how it can be effectively cleaned.
The location was excellent. A short walk from the station and close to central amenities and activities.

Summary: Amadeus is idéal for an overnight or budget short stay in Haarlem. The rooms are above the bar/restaurant - and mine, on the 3rd floor was quiet. Nice staff - and continental breakfast ok s included.

Summary: Very nice budget hotel located in the middle of the market square. Clean rooms. No AC. Fan provided. Small but clean bathroom. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was great but no hot options. Would stay again.

Summary: A very basic, no frills room, but worked great for me. The shower sometimes made a weird burbling noise (I think when someone else in the building was taking a shower?), and when it was hot outside the room got very hot (a small fan would go a long ways, there was no breeze from the window even when it cooled off outside), and the construction noises from the floor below started early. Carpet was old and worn, with a bleached out spot on it, but was otherwise clean. Continental breakfast was good (fresh baked bread was a highlight!), and being able to use the lift during open restaurant hours to get my suitcase up and down was helpful, as it's basically three flights of stairs up to the room. Staff was friendly and helpful. Haarlem is charming, and it's a short (less than 15 minutes) walk to the train station for a sprinter train into Amsterdam. There's also a nearby bus route that goes to the airport, which was very convenient. A nice, economical option for a single traveler.

Summary: The room didn't have Aircon and the weather was hot. lt's an old building that would benefit from refurbishment. There was no on site bike storage, but a public facility is a few hundred meters away.
On the plus side it is on an historic square and has a decent restaurant.

Summary: The location was great and the staff was friendly. What we didn't know was there was a carnival going on right in front of our hotel, and that took away the charm of the city. The reason I booked this hotel was for the location, but the carnival put a damper on our visit. The bathroom was a strange set up (you had to walk in the shower to get to the toilet). Regardless, it was a good hotel based on location.
