Amaroo Rainforest Resort Reviews
Summary: The property is older with beautiful gardens. 15-20 minutes walk into town and regular buses that go all over the island. The fact the units have a kitchenette is great with an IGA close by.

Summary: The resort was hard to find as there were no signs to indicate that you were in the right place. reception was non-existent as it is now done remotely It was fortunate that I found a number to ring in my emails. The car park is a long way from the rooms. There were no clothes hanging rods in the cupbourd so had to hang on the curtain rod. The fridge was not working so our food went off. The vanity sink was blocked. We added a night and had to move to a studio which was much better.

Summary: Cobwebs throughout the room. Towel rail fell off. Power points hanging. Back screen door didn’t lock. They give you utensils but nothing to cook with. Very run down place. Would suit low budget workers

Summary: Lovely room, small but has most things for comfort. Could have another cereal bowl, only one for two guests. Like the opening screening back sliding door for fresh air. Comfy bed, plenty of pillows. Good online communication, helpful and prompt.

Summary: We were here for a festival onsite so was very convenient. The bus stop was just outside and easy to get around the island. The grounds were nice. Our room needed some maintenance though. No shower screen door, drawers in wardrobe didn’t close. Staff were helpful but all reception was off site.

Summary: The only downside was the cafe wasn’t open as it is being renovated. Would definitely stay there again if in the area.

Summary: Unfortunately the room didn’t live up to our expectation. Beds were uncomfortable, singles were basically unsleepable with springs and daughter slept on the sofa bed. Couch wasn’t suffice for a family and has a broken foot. Kitchen was well equipped. Property was well maintained and staff were helpful. They even moved rooms when the aircon was unusable in first room. Bird feeding at 5.30 was great. Pool area lovely. Playground good for kids. Enjoyed wallabies at night. Curlews like everywhere in North Queensland were noisy, but not as noisy as the party in the restaurant last night. Overall I was hoping for more, but it was suffice and one of the cheapest places on the island.
