Amphitryon Hotel Reviews
Summary: Great location, good breakfast are the positives.
Parking a little far away and very much dated bathroom fixtures and door were the disappointing factors. Room quality does not justify the seasonally high rates.

Summary: Beautiful view, very nice helpful staff when we arrived. The morning shift were not as nice and helpful. Breakfast was amazing. The rooms and hotel itself needs a lot of work. It would have been stunning in the 90’s not a 5 star hotel nowadays. Very retro TV and a fridge that doesn’t work.

Summary: The Amphytrion Hotel has one of the best locations in Nafplio. The views are absolutely extraordinary, and being so close to everything made it a wonderful base for exploring the city. The staff were exceptional—friendly, accommodating, and always willing to help with any request, which made our stay much more enjoyable.
That said, the hotel itself is showing its age and could benefit from significant updates. Our room was not very well maintained, with old fixtures that are in need of replacement. We were also disappointed that there was no reliable Wi-Fi during our stay. The television offered only German channels and a single Greek channel, leaving very limited entertainment options.
The pool area also appeared to need better maintenance, as it did not seem particularly clean.
Overall, if you’re looking for breathtaking views and an outstanding location, this hotel certainly delivers. However, if modern amenities and well-maintained accommodations are important to you, be aware that the property could use substantial renovations. With some investment and updates, this hotel could truly match the incredible setting it enjoys.

Summary: The hotel is in an excellent location. The staff were friendly. However we did not have WiFi as we were told they are in the midst of changing a provider. Also with all the fancy switches to control the lights, blinds etc, the bed does not have a headboard. We had no conditioner, shampoo only. Finally we had a city wide electricity outage due to no fault of the hotel. After the electricity came back after one hour or so, the water was muddy for a long time but it was better the next morning.
