Arcade Hotel Reviews

Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: The town is not a tourist centre so facilities around the hotel were not abundant but there were a few great bars and restaurants close by and as a base for travelling around up into the mountains, or down the Izu Peninsula it was perfect.
Negative: Not the most attractive part of town but a beautiful hotel internally.
Summary: An awesome base for travelling around and a beautiful designer hotel. We woke up to Fuji outside.

Positive: This is newly renovated hotel in the lower, non-touristy part of Fuji. Rooms are large enough considering we’re in Japan. Greetings go out to the lady with the Aussie accent.
Negative: There is little room to put clothes or any other belongings. Sometimes one would wish that people who open a hotel get some experience as a traveller so they can avoid any mistakes they saw in places they stayed in. The biggest such problem is that there is no lift and the stairs are narrow, steep and plentiful. Beyond their control: There is some nightlife within 200m of the hotel and some people really love to impress others with their noisy cars. The rooms to the back of the building may be more quiet.
Summary: Good for Aussies (on some days)

Comfy beds. Newly renovated. Lots of izakayas in the area. The area is not crawling with foreign visitors!

Positive:
The property is very modern and welcoming. The staff were amazing and couldn’t be friendlier. The hotel has been refurbished last year and is a great space. We arrived early to check in and had a great conversation with staff members. The rooms have a fantastic view of Mount Fuji, it just depends on the weather which is to be expected!
Negative:
Nothing. Our stay was great.
Summary: It was the perfect, peaceful stop between Tokyo and Kyoto.

Such a unique, stylish and beautiful hotel. The staff were so lovely and helpful. We were offered a tasty welcome drink. The nigh time bar was ace too.
We stopped here on our way to Izu and it was a nice little surprise - perfect views of Mount Fuji and lots of yummy food located around. Highly recommended!
