Positive: Toni’s B&B is lovely and there is nothing you could want improved. Our room had a terrace and it was great to relax on it in the afternoon. It’s right in the centre and next to all the restaurants and bars. There’s lots to choose from. The Fortessa is impressive and the designer outlets at Serravalle only 10 minutes drive. The National cycling museum at Novi Ligure and Coppi’s home and museum are close. Really interesting if you are into cycling as we are. Also, of course there are lots of wineries to visit.
It was hot when we were there but the air conditioning is excellent and kept us cool. Toni is a wonderful host and couldn’t do enough for us. A real gem. The parking is easy and underground so your car is kept nice and cool. It’s only 50ms from the B&B so the bag transfer was very easy.
If we are back in Gavi one day we will stay again.
Negative: Nothing, it was a perfect visit.
Summary: Great place to stay with a lovely host.

Positive: Room and bathroom were clean, tidy, and very nice. Breakfast was rich and excellent, even though we couldn’t fully enjoy it because we were running late (I only tried a piece of focaccia and it was delicious). Great location, close to the city center and to the restaurant we had booked. The parking option was also very convenient.
Negative: A small inconvenience involved the presence of our dog. The guests in the adjacent room immediately reported the very first bark to the host (even though the dog had been mentioned in the reservation), which left us feeling disappointed and a bit irritated. No criticism toward the host, who was very understanding and genuinely apologetic about the situation.

Very nice stay. We got a good off-season rate and were very pleased with our room.
It is clear that the location is clean, well-kept & managed.
Parking was extremely convenient!
Staff was responsive on Whatsapp, which was convenient.
Negative:
There was a WIFI outage for the latter part of our stay.
It was clear that they were trying to resolve this.
Our room was adjacent to a common kitchen area, but there were no issues with this.

The apartment is located right in the center of Gavi, on a picturesque street. Nearby, there’s a large church and plenty of small shops and cafes. We had a room with a view of the city, not the river, and to be honest, the room looked more spacious and brighter in the booking photos. Overall, it’s decent if you’re staying just for one night. Breakfast was included in our stay, and you get your own table in the shared dining room, along with a personal fridge stocked with essentials—ham, cheese, milk, yogurts. Plus, there’s coffee, bread, and some pastries. By Italian standards, the breakfast was quite good.
Negative:
The room itself was very dark because the shutters were closed. In the booking photos, it’s shown as a bright, spacious room, but in reality, that wasn’t quite the case. The booking stated that there would be slippers, which there were, but don’t get your hopes up—they’re just thin, semi-transparent cloth shaped like slippers, so there’s neither a sole nor any warmth. They might as well not have provided them at all.
And the biggest downside—the bed linens had an overpowering smell of fabric softener that just wouldn’t dissipate, leaving a strong chemical odor that made it uncomfortable to sleep. Even after we left, all our clothes smelled of it. I’d recommend the hosts switch to unscented laundry detergent and fabric softener.
