Majestic tree-lined drive leads to charming storybook cottage in the midst of privately owned "Mistletoe Hill" property just a short drive to downtown Hendersonville, the Biltmore Estate, Pisgah Forest, the Green River (whitewater and tubing), the Tryon International Equestrian Center, Flat Rock Playhouse/NC State Theater, hiking trails, the three county "land of 1000 waterfalls" and the Smoky Mountains!
Ideal for a couple (or friends traveling together), in the former carriage house on a beautiful property setting adjacent to the owners updated historic 1930's home. Designed with all the amenities you could desire for a vacation getaway -- and a spacious, relaxed, mountain-style that the country-squire Lauren himself would approve! On truly beautiful property that was formerly part of the French Chanteloupe estate owned by Count Choseuil from France, via his appointment in Charleston. Your own private deck, a quietly gurgling water garden beside your cottage, a magnificent 350 year oak tree in your back yard -- with your own tree swing waiting for you! And yes, a great firepit. Beautifully decorated and appointed.
And Firefly Cottage is always completely sanitized from top to bottom between guests.
Located approximately 2 miles from the antique shops, galleries, fabulous restaurants and boutiques of delightful downtown Hendersonville -- and a short drive from the cottage to Dupont State Forest, Pisgah Forest and other outdoor attractions.

Google Maps tends to bring guests in on our Private Cove Lane driveway. If so, once on Private Cove veer to the right 1st entrance to cottage. Main driveway is next one after Private Cove Lane. Once you get back, unwind on the balcony most units feature, or head down to the pool and fitness center for a change of scenery. Every suite comes with free WiFi, a flat-screen TV, and cashless, contactless self check-in via the virtual front desk. A private bathroom, single-room air conditioning, and a full kitchen are featured in every 42–91 m² suite or studio. King beds furnish the 1-bedroom suites, while studios pair a queen with a sofa bed, and select studios add a soaking bathtub. Full toiletries are stocked throughout, and thanks to the in-unit washer and dryer, you’ll be able to travel light.
