Summary: It was the beach in the off-season, so it was nice and quiet. We came to visit family so really just needed a place to sleep. The room was clean but could use some attention and was pretty sparely furnished. For example, a knob was missing from the chest of drawers, so that drawer couldn’t be opened. Only one of the three lightbulbs over the mirror over the sink worked. There was only one small towel bar on the inside of the bathroom door. There was no closet, a rack or hooks anywhere to hang clothes, jackets, etc. and only one chair to sit upon, so one of us would have to sit on the bed. Two chairs would’ve been better. For the price it was fine.

Summary: The staff was very helpful and the location was great, so close to the beach! It seems like a historic building. It’s just very bare minimum. The AC was loud, which I wasn’t upset about, but our fridge was leaking and our TV was having issues. When I requested things, like an extra blanket and pillows, the staff was accommodating. It just wasn’t a place to hang out in the room. Very small and not super comfortable. Parking on the street was free though!

Summary: The facilities were clean but very old. I read that it will soon be torn down. It is probably time as there is only so much you can do with an old building. It is a shame to lose a hotel so close to the beach.

Summary: This is my fourth year staying at Belmar Inn for my annual beach trip with my husband. We love Belmar Inn and its wonderful porch! It’s steps from the beach and super affordable. We are so sad to hear it’s being demolished for more overpriced condos!

Summary: The staff is excellent: very nice, personable, and welcoming. The location directly by the beach is ideal and the outdoor porch and seating are pleasant and very relaxing. The building itself and individual rooms (although we can only speak about our room) is in need of some TLC. The room was clean and a nice size but definitely a little worn.

Summary: Staff was helpful checking in but room was very inadequate. We had two beds in our room and the layout was very poor. You had to squeeze between the two beds to get the dresser and bathroom and the dresser was missing a drawer. I had a problem locking the room when I left the room and was told that particular lock was difficult. I asked to be switched to another room and was told they were booked and had no other rooms available even though everyone for the weekend had not checked in yet.
