Biddys Cottage Reviews

Positive: The cottage was exactly what we needed to conclude our 1 month visit to Ireland. Both Connor amd Sean were very attentive and responsive to our needs. They made sure everything was comfortable for us with genuine care. The cottage itself was AMAZING! A true Irish gem. In the Family for over 200 years and updated for the traveler to enjoy. We spent 4 nights there and cooked most meals as town was not far for goods needed. Best accommodation of our entire trip by far!

Positive:
Beautiful little cottage! The setting is peaceful and relaxing. We had brought our little dog and the garden was perfect for him! Far enough from the road so we weren’t too worried about him. Cottage has everything we needed for a short break. The bed is very comfortable!
Negative:
Nothing the cottage is wonderful! The weather took a little turn for the worse and the heating is very easy to use.
I would wholeheartedly recommend the cottage for a short relaxing break!
Summary: Charming Cottage

Positive:
Great location, felt very rustic and was lovely to come in to a fire lit. The cottage was nice and warm. Great that is is dog friendly. Lots of grass around the cottage (note it's not fenced in)
Negative:
I'm reluctant to mention as they were great hosts, but there is a significant amount of rising damp and mould in the cottage. If we had booked more than 2 nights we wouldn't have stayed as it was so mouldy. Floor in the bedroom was uneven due to damp. I see reviews mentioning this several months/years ago so it's something that hasn't been addressed. Of course it's an old cottage but mould can be removed.
Summary: Authentic cottage with all the charm but some drawbacks
