Bio Hotel Alter Wirt | Hotel in Munchen District, Bavaria

Bio-Hotel Alter Wirt is a family-run hotel in Grünwald, set in the southern outskirts of Munich and connected to the city by area roads and public transportation. The setting feels practical for a stay that moves between the calm of a smaller town and the pace of the city, with a renovated building that brings a lighter, more contemporary finish to the experience. Inside, the rooms lean into warm, tactile details, with chestnut hardwood floors, locally crafted furniture, metal-free beds, and free wireless internet access that keeps work and everyday planning easy. Some units may include a balcony or terrace, giving you a quiet place to step out and take in the view. Shared spaces shape the day with the same measured rhythm. The hotel restaurant serves Bavarian specialties made with fresh, local, organic produce, and the bar gives you a place to linger afterward. When the weather is mild, the sun terrace, apple orchard, and beer garden add an easy sense of time outdoors, while laundry service, parking, and business services support longer stays and work trips. Accessibility features and wheelchair accessible spaces are also available, and the property is pet friendly, with breakfast offered for a simple start to the morning. In Grünwald, the stay feels grounded and well connected, with the kind of address that works for practical travel and a slower return at the end of the day.
