“Air conditioners in comfort standard rooms have not aged well and should have been replaced long ago as they have a high pitch noise. We have not had this problem in 3 other hotels in Malta. Tried 2 different rooms, both had the pitch but one was quieter. Apart from this the rooms were nice. Some staff were welcoming, polite and helpful (about 75% of them), others were unfortunately not. The elevator takes max 4 persons. It is the only elevator for the hotel and is shared between guests and staff so be prepared to wait several times for it to pass or use the stairs. I would suggest to consider installing a mini elevator for sending e.g. trays and dishes between the restaurant and the pool bar. The breakfast was OK. Skip the tsatsiki snack dish since it is without garlic. The pool on the roof with the live DJ was the highlight. The DJ on Friday was fantastic! The DJ on Saturday did not fit our taste as it was only ambient dubstep but still nice to have a live DJ.”

“We had a good stay at Block. The room is not big, but not as small as a typical London hotel room. The windows only go to a ventilation shaft. But the bed is big and comfortable andre the shower has lovely hot water and pressure. The crew is very helpful and friendly. The location in Xlendi is great. I also appreciate that they reach out about the small rooms after booking. But please be aware that the noise of the party on ground and top floor is intense, also in the rooms. They stop at midnight sharp, but if you want to go to bed before that, you cannot be a light sleeper. All in all: would stay again, as long as I'm in a party mood.”

“Clean and comfortable room. Very efficient and helpful staff, from reception, housekeeping to bar staff. Good quality breakfast, cooked to order. ”

“The breakfast was a fixed plate but good an enough. The room was with a window but it was 0,5 meters from a wall an no natural daylight. So it should be listed as a no window room. But the price was good so I still recommend the hotel.”
