“The location and view are amazing! I did not expect our room to be on the second floor of the main building, up 25 steps. This was difficult for my husband and made carrying luggage a challenge. It was odd to not have someone in the building as we were checking in, it seemed less than personal. The room, especially the bathroom was small. When we asked about housekeeping and clean towels, we were told we could request clean towels, but they were not a hotel, more of a bed and breakfast... except it was a limited grab and go breakfast. The stay was fine overall, but it did not meet my expectations. There was a window air conditioner, which we did not need, but it meant we could not open the window for fresh air.”

“The Bluff House has stunning views and great amenities. Nearby Winter Harbor is a lovely small town to visit nearby. The eastern portion of Acadia National Park on the Schoodic Peninsula is very close and very much worth the visit.”

“We stayed in the pine cabin. It had a beautiful view of sunsets and was clean, quiet and well maintained. Cabin is quite small with small shower. Hot inside in August but air conditioner kept it cool on high setting. Mini refrigerator and drip coffeemaker. The Bluff House Inn is walkable but we preferred to drive there. Continental breakfast included and there were beautiful sitting areas and view out back. It’s located about 45 min from Bar Harbor. Very close to Schoondic Peninsula mainland Acadia Natl Park which is beautiful.”

“Lovely Inn on the quiet side of Acadia. The Schoodic Peninsula is beautiful, though worth noting it is about a 55 minute drive to Bar Harbor.”

“The area is pretty remote, but the path to the little beach is very cute. The views and the lobby area are also great, the rooms are just old and small. The breakfast is very basic (Walmart bagels and a coffee machine) and the staff is not overly welcoming. Has great potential but felt very basic (some ideas: some lawn games or board games to make the shared space feel more inviting, fruit at breakfast, some bathroom items, etc).”

“A truly magical place! Enjoy a panoramic view of the water and mountains from the rooftop deck. A delicious and well stocked breakfast every morning downstairs and plenty of areas to sit and relax around the property. Take the path down to the water and enjoy listening to the waves. Plenty of great establishments around to have drinks and great food. 👍”

“I didn't realize this property was an hour away from bar harbor. Very remote. No tv. Owner sends canned responses and doesn't respond to actual emails.”
