“The Room was clean the staff was excellent and the breakfast was great and plenty of parking and close to downtown Middleburg.”

“Room was clean. No arm chair to sit and read in. Just single dining room chairs Lots of debris around the swimming pool. Three pool vacuum cleaners at work. No word on where the hot tub was. In the bathroom very large tub needed sealant around the edges. Plenty of parking. Staff was difficult to find. Two guests expected to meet for early check in but didn t find anybody there. I decided not to stay for breakfast.”

“The only positive attribute of the place was it's proximity to Middleburg. The house was very dirty and disarray. The kitchen, which was open to guests, had dirty dishes and pots and pans in the sink the whole time. The kitchen counter was loaded with stuff. The front room, where checkin took place was a mess -- the desk area for the attendant had clothes on the floor and various items on the floor. The swimming pool had algae across the bottom -- it had not been vacuumed forever and you would not want that pool water to touch you. The furniture around the pool was shabby and not clean. The guest rooms looked nothing like the photos -- a rinky dink window air conditioner was the cooling method. The room smelled musty as if it had not been aired out. The tub and shower curtain the bathroom, including the tub mat were terribly yellowed and aged. We did not take a show as a result. We did not go in the pool as a result. And we refrained from breakfast as a result. To add further insult to us for this stay, the power went out our night there. When I called the staff, his response was: nothing I can do about it. He didn't even call us first to see if we were ok. It was essentially, 'good luck to you.' Not only would I NEVER return here, unless new owners bought it and refurbished it. I can only say that people should STAY AWAY from this place. It is unworthy to be listed as a B and B.”

“It was a beautiful place to stay! My son and I did a quick trip to visit Middleburg and attend the VA hound show. We had to leave early the next morning, and they were wonderful about everything! We are planning to come back and stay longer next time! We loved it there!”

“This was the nicest room we stayed in on our week long road trip. The room was really lovely!! The bed was the most comfortable. The bathroom was great; very updated, sparkling clean, fabulous tub, excellent shower. We were so happy. The French door had a view outside to the green rolling hills and barn. Ellen, Dan and Deron are all so nice and helpful. The town a short drive away is so lovely and historic. Seems very upscale but welcoming. Reasonably priced dining at many nice places. We had dinner at The Oyster Bar ( more than oysters) it was so delicious. Highly recommend. Ellen suggested we try it and I’m so glad. This was a really fun stop. What a gorgeous area of this country. ”
