Brookview Manor Inn | Bed & Breakfast in Canadensis, Pennsylvania

“This property probably quite nice at one time. The potential is huge. It seems that whoever owns the place is happy allowing it to fall into disrepair and ruin. I read some of the diary entries in our room and it seems that a lady named Lisa was the driving force making this place wonderful but with the end of 2025 the downward trend began. I don't know what happened to her.”

“The house cleaning person was very helpful with any of our needs she was very pleasant to deal with”

“It was a quaint historical inn in a beautiful woodland setting. The check in was a little tricky, but the staff member Marion was very friendly and helpful. Our rooms were very clean, quiet and spacious. I will be staying here again in the future.”

“I will come back again in the future”

“Place needs a lot of work. Exterior of inn needs a total makeover from roof to foundation. Our room the king room needs renovation. Our toilet had not been cleaned there was urine and hair on the bowl and floor. Never received a text to let us know how to check in so that was an adventure. No staff on property and no air conditioning. When we went to bed our room temperature was 78. The owner or owners are certainly not reinvesting in this property.”

“The water went ice cold after a shower or two and never was warm again the property was lovely and clean. Room was clean as well ”

“It was ok”

“We booked this bed and breakfast for a weekend marriage conference. Before arriving we were called and told that they had to move our room to the carriage house due to a septic issue with the main manor. The carriage house is a smaller building on the property. Upon arriving it felt a bit run down overall. We entered our room on the second floor of the carriage house. It was small but quaint and what we needed. We had some difficulties with the heat the first night. We woke up freezing so we turned on our in room electric fireplace and then it was overly hot. Unfortunately there was no thermostat or way to control the temp in our room. The towels provided were very small, the shower head in the shower was somewhat broken and kept aiming the water at our feet when showering. The radiators heat made a ton of loud banging sounds at night that woke us up both nights. Most disappointing is that there is no one on staff to greet you, and the freshly made breakfast we thought we would be getting at a bed and breakfast was a self serve bar in the main house with yogurt, prepackaged cakes and bagels, bananas that were not ripe, cereal cups with milk and a fridge with microwaveable breakfast items that were frozen from jimmy deans. It left much to be desired. It sounds like it used to be much better with the previous owners. I would recommend looking into another bed and breakfast in the area even if it is a bit more expensive as you will get a better experience as we paid to go out to”

“ Lean rooms. Nice location to relax and head out for day trips and hiking in the area. ”

“Beautiful room with romantic vibes. Staff are accommodating and attentive. Peaceful and secluded for a couples escape ”
