Building 440 is an apartment stay in Fatqā, set for easy access to some of the area’s most recognized sights. From here, you are within reach of Casino du Liban, Our Lady of Lebanon, and Byblos Archeological Site, with Jeita Grotto also close enough for a day out. It is a practical base for travelers who want a quieter address without losing sight of the region’s main stops. Inside, the apartments are fitted with a flat-screen TV, and some units also include a balcony, giving you a little more room to settle in and take in the surroundings. Parking is available, including free private parking, which makes arriving by car straightforward. The building also offers internet, daily housekeeping, non-smoking rooms, and accessible parking, along with guest services that help keep the stay running smoothly. Where available, the setup feels well suited to a few nights or a longer stop, with the focus on comfort and ease rather than extras that get in the way. For families and guests looking for a simple, functional stay, the child-friendly approach adds to the sense of flexibility. Around Building 440, the setting keeps you connected to Fatqā and to the wider area, with Place des Martyrs, Gemayzeh Street, and Beirut International Exhibition & Leisure Center all within the broader route map. Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport is 21 miles away, which makes the property a workable choice for arrivals and departures by road. If you are looking for a stay that balances access, parking, and a straightforward apartment layout, Building 440 offers that kind of steady, familiar pace.

Positive: ONLY the view
Negative: The view was breathtaking, and the apartment itself was spacious. There were enough beds and the furniture was fine.
Then the surprise started…
1) There was no stable electricity!! ⚡️🔌
I have been to Lebanon a few months ago, so I understand that generators are necessary. Unfortunately, the apartment owner either did not have a generator or chose not to use it. God knows why! Because of this, we had no air conditioning and almost no hot water. We were 6 girls traveling together, and we actually had to make a shower schedule because the hot water was so limited. 😅
The electricity was extremely weak. A very small heater would immediately cut the power. Even a simple Rush Brush hair dryer caused the electricity to shut down.
The apartment is located in the mountains, where the weather is very cold, so this situation was completely unacceptable.
2) Another very confusing and uncomfortable situation 💰💸
Before traveling, we chose two rooms on Booking. However, when we arrived, Madame Aida herself convinced us to take one apartment instead. We agreed with her, confirmed the price, and paid the full amount UPFRONT for 6 nights.
AFTER 4 days, she came back asking us to pay extra money for the second room we originally booked on Booking, even though we were already staying in one apartment, exactly as she suggested and exactly as we paid for.
To make things more confusing, when we checked the price of the chosen apartment on Booking, we found that we had already fully covered the cost!!! There was no reason to ask for any additional payment.
When we explained that we won’t pay more money because it’s completely not fair and we had already planned our finances, she said: خلص اللي تقدروا تدفعوه! 😃
I’m not sure if this was a favor or a charity thing?? Not a paid service with a clear agreement!
3) Security Issue 🚪
Another serious issue was about privacy.
Summary: Amazing view with awful facilities and management
