“This was by far the best hotel we've ever stayed at anywhere, it was truly a 5 star place; it looked and felt like it. Exquisite grounds, impeccable service from Gerry, and got to meet his friendly dog as well. We somehow managed to get the penthouse at a reasonable rate and it was so awesome it was unbelievable that we could stay there. The only problem we had is that it was a little too cold in our room for our taste as it was in-floor heating and it was 2000 square feet of open space. We asked for an extra heater and Gerry brought one to us. Breakfast was great and served in a nice high ceiling room with other guests. Real, fresh squeezed orange juice, actually good coffee that comes in a French press and all local ingredients with your choice of options. Bed was really comfortable and a good size. The pillows were comfortable, comforter was extra soft, couches were actually comfortable. When you arrive Gerry comes out to greet you and take your bags, and when you leave he comes out to help you take your bags and check out, just like magic. We've never stayed in an actual B&B before so we can't really speak to how different or better it was, but we've stayed at much more expensive and supposedly fancy places that were just really expensive hotels and fancier looking, but this was a totally different and better experience in every regard. We highly recommend, would stay again!”
