“Our room was cozy with fireplace we also had lounge sitting area outside we were able to listen to music outside and enjoyed it in our own room and very quiet at 10pm We had quick survive when we needed it Thank you ladies in the front desk”

“The A/C was great- we were ice cold within 10 minutes of turning it on. The mattress was uncomfortable and too small for the frame. The pillows (2 on each side) were very soft, so it was like lying flat on the bed. The lamp shades were badly stained. Great location. We knew there was no elevator but it was tough so we probably would prefer first or second floor next time. Especially if you have kids and a stroller. We wanted the partial ocean view, that’s partly why we were on the third floor. The people upstairs were very loud and we could hear everything and lots of banging/stomping around, so noise travels. Check in was easy and staff was nice. That was the only time we needed to interact. Balcony was also nice to sit and watch the ocean and boats. Price was good for booking last minute and location. I would stay again but bring my own pillow and ask for lower floor.”

“Helpful front desk staff checked us in early and let us leave our bags downstairs until our room was ready a few hours later. The building is old but well maintained with charming old wood moldings and trims. The standard queen room was small but clean and well appointed with fresh paint, nice furnishings and a very comfortable bed. The sink is located in the main room with the toilet and shower stall in a separate space behind a sliding barn door. Our third floor room had a nice peekaboo view of the harbor but first and second floor rooms have no views. The convenient location is a 10 minutes walk from the ferry pier and central to all the sites and activities but being one block back from the harbor it was much quieter than some other lodgings. Overall this was a great place to stay on Catalina for a fairly reasonable price.”

“The best part of our two night stay was the friendly and helpful office staff. The inn itself needs some improvements. The price to stay there was quite high like most places in Avalon,Santa Catalina Island.”

The staff was friendly, helpful, and made the experience pleasant. There were a few housekeeping details that could use some attention. The carpets looked a little dirty, there was dust on the coffee pot, so I didn't feel comfortable using it, and the lights above the bathroom mirror were also dusty. The pillows were quite flat and could be more comfortable. Despite these issues, the hotel was comfortable overall, and the helpful staff made a positive impression. With a little more attention to cleanliness and room maintenance, this would easily be a 5-star stay.It sounds honest, fair, and constructive rather than overly critical.”
