Regular yearly stay for the Yorkshire show. Rooms were noisy due to hot weather, windows open and what sounded like generators going all night. Our bathroom had definitely not been cleaned properly before our arrival, a large puddle from the shower was down behind the dirty toilet (outside) No bottled water, which we saw on the trolleys as we left 😉 Breakfast did the trick and grateful for GF bread but sausages could have done with a little longer cooking time. Grateful for the happy hour in the bar when showing show tickets and will watch out for the special menu's next year.

Breakfast par for the circumstances. Foreign bar staff brilliant , makes a superb rum coffee . English bar staff talking rather than serving customers.

Everything was fantastic but the room didn't have air conditioning so being a very hot weekend the room was very humid at night, staff were excellent and hotel was very high quality,, really enjoyed our stay.

We are 2 large dogs and brought our well behaved owners with us. We were made to feel very welcome. 2 dog beds and 2 bowls in the room as well as a human sized bed (which we felt was too comfortable for us). Our owners were very happy though. There were water bowls and treats for us in the bar. This was a joy as our owners wanted to watch some strange men (the 11 in white shirts seemed to be the favourites) running around with a ball. We would have been much better but I'm not sure the ball would have lasted more than about 5 minutes. Breakfast set up in the bar for our owners as we were not allowed to accompany them into the restaurant. In fairness there would have been too much temptation, all those sausages on offer! The Stray directly opposite the hotel where we could take our owners for lots of lovely walks. All round a great experience. Thank you Woof, woof

​Great reception, but terrible event catering and attitude ​The Good: Credit where it's due, the room was clean but tatty and the reception team was highly professional. ​The Bad: The food was poor quality, overpriced, and not even cooked through. On top of that, orders were incorrect. ​The Service: The catering and event staff were miserable, rude, and entirely indifferent to guests. No one apologised for the mistakes. ​Event experience: Shockingly unprofessional. Staff were pushing trolleys right in front of guests during the speeches and tutting at people in the buffet line. Avoid this place for events, I certainly won't be back.

Hotel seems poorer than when we stayed there some years ago. Breakfast basic.

A fantastic hotel that I highly recommend

Lovely hotel in an ideal location. We had the day at RHS Garden before a 10 minute drive to the hotel. Really friendly staff and parking on site for a small extra fee. Good in Amber's was lovely. Ideally situated for the Harrogate Park run the following morning, right outside the front door. Can't wait to return.

A lovely stay. Nice room, friendly staff. The dining area was beautiful. We very much enjoyed the breakfasts, and the evening meal was amazing!
