Cedars Hotel HAKUBA Reviews

Reviewer Type: Couple
Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Beautiful room, great location, and very comfortable stay!
The room was spacious, modern and well equipped with a kitchen. The location is excellent, very close to the gondola and right in the centre of Tsugaike. Cedars Café downstairs and the private sauna at Blue Star across the road were also great. We stayed in summer and really enjoyed the mountain atmosphere. I’d love to come back during ski season as well.
Summary: Beautiful room, great location, and very comfortable stay!

Positive: This was our second stay at Cedars; the first for a week of skiing late February and now a summer weekend. We love this place for its architectural design, great location and friendly service. It’s right in the heart of Tsugaike next to the gondola. There’s a ski hire place across the road, a couple of local supermarkets and plenty of excellent local dining choices, including the Blue Star opposite (same owners). Our week on the slopes was the best; runs for any skill level and fresh powder as far as you can see. This weekend we enjoyed some hiking, onsen and great food. It was great to get out of Tokyo for a super relaxing short break. We’re already planning a 3 day weekend in the Fall as these mountains are spectacular. This place is brand new so not many reviews but we felt lucky to find it early. It’s definitely five stars from us.
Negative: Leaving it…
Summary: Cedars is so convenient, so beautiful and great value.

Positive: Stunning Alpine location, close to everything, with mountains right at your doorstep. A perfect base for exploring. The apartment was spacious, spotlessly clean, and had everything we needed, including a well-equipped Kitchen and laundry facilities, which were very helpful.
Summary: The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. English was no problem, making everything easy. Great breakfast opt
