The host was excellent—very responsive, helpful, and overall a five-star experience on that front. The biggest strengths of this place are the location and value. Being able to walk to the beach was a huge plus, and the price was very reasonable compared to other listings (especially on Hotels.com). The bathrooms were also clean, which we appreciated. That said, the condo itself is quite dated and could really benefit from some light remodeling. While it had clearly been cleaned, there are areas—like closet racks, doors, and handles—that have a buildup of residue that seems beyond what regular cleaning can fix. Some of the kitchen cabinets were also in poor condition. The main drawback for us was a noticeable musty/moldy smell when we first walked in. We did get somewhat used to it after a day, but it lingered on our belongings—we ended up washing all of our clothes and even soft bags after returning home to get rid of the smell. Overall, we’re glad we were able to stay here given the short notice and great beach access. With some updates and deeper restoration, this could be a fantastic place.
The place is cute. I thought I reserved a two bedroom but ended up with a one bedroom with a Murphy bed in the living area which worked for us. The beach is across the street with beautiful sunsets. One thing to note, it is next to a bar and grill with live music. Overall, I would stay again. You can walk to restaurants and a convenience store.
Jim was great, condo was clean and well equipt. We stayed 2 weeks and would return. We found over 1000 sharks teeth at the local beaches! There are 2 clubs across the cove that play live music until 10 p.m.
