Clarion Hotel Örebro, one night with the family. Staff were the standout: helpful across the board, and printed a stack of documents for me at reception free of charge, fast and hassle-free. Room was on the fifth floor, spacious, good view, right next to the spa and gym as requested. Decent gym and spa area felt fresh and well kept. The rest of the common areas were more tired, surfaces and finishes showing wear and could use an update. Breakfast is where it fell apart. We came down around 9:30, an hour before closing, and the dining area was cramped for the number of guests. Loud, tight on space, tables turning over fast, more cafeteria rush hour than a calm start to the day. Buffet had a decent range but the quality didn't match the selection, nothing bad, just forgettable. Very nice staff here as well though. Good hotel for a short stay. Staff and room deliver but breakfast and general upkeep of common areas need attention. My rating: 4/5, strong staff and room offset by a crowded breakfast and worn common areas.
