Summary: The motel is in the process of remodeling. What I saw was very nice. My room was clean and neat. I have worked in the motel business a long time ago and I am critical of a lot of things. This motel filled my needs and will be very nice when complete. I met three members of the staff and they were very friendly and helpful.

Summary: Even with renovations underway, the place was fine. Some upkeep/maintenance was needed in the room we had - 117. The price was higher than what I would expect from such a place, but there isn't that much competition in Winterset.
