“Cozy Timber Retreat - Ideal for Couples, Solo Travelers and Small Families. This charming cottage was the perfect sanctuary for a peaceful escape. Though modest in footprint, the dramatic lofted ceilings created a sense of spaciousness that was truly remarkable. Crafted entirely from timber, the home radiated rustic elegance and warmth in every corner. The space was very clean and beautifully maintained with a thoughtfully equipped kitchen featuring high-end cookware that made dining in a genuine pleasure. The cottage was also conveniently located near local markets (can highly recommend NorthTisbury Farmer's Market), Vineyard Haven, Oak Bluffs, and other delightful island spots - making it easy to explore while still enjoying the peace and quiet of a tucked-away retreat. We were lucky enough to spot wild turkeys wandering nearby, adding a touch of whimsy and wildlife charm to our days. The hosts - who live close by - struck the perfect balance: completely respectful of our privacy while also being warm and delightful to interact with. It had been quite a few years since I'd last visited Martha's Vineyard, and this stay rekindled something deep for me. I feel reconnected with the island's beauty, its quiet spirit - and honestly, I did not want to leave. Whether you're seeking connection, romance, solitude, or shared memories with friends and/or family, this special cottage offers a restorative experience that will linger long after you return.
