Positive:
The room was really nice, very comfy and spacious, a quiet room was requested and could not fault that, although my husband banged his head several times on the door frame as it was very low and he isn't that tall, perhaps better signage to warn you would be good, the courtyard was especially nice full of flowers and plenty of places to sit, the breakfast was very nice and staff very pleasant, poached eggs were not runny but overall a good breakfast.
Negative:
The hotel was under some building work with scaffolding up at the front of the hotel, the car park was full of construction workers vehicles although we managed to park the car, it would have been good if this was communicated to us. I booked a superior room in the main hotel but we were put in a room in the cottage opposite, having said that the room was lovely and happy to stay.

Positive:
Entered into a floral covered courtyard pub garden to warm welcome from reception. Shown to delightful regency Townhouse where our cosy room was ready. Bar and breakfast staff friendly and helpful.
Negative:
Steps up to front door felt treacherous! Cooked breakfasts were disappointing with poor presentation.
Summary: Central location with car park meant we could enjoy the historic and stunning town of Stamford.
