Scotty brought the history of the B&B to life with fascinating stories behind each artifact, adding so much character and charm to our stay. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and Cathy even remembered exactly what each of us had ordered the day before, with everything prepared and waiting for us the next morning. Cathy and Scott are incredible hosts who complement each other perfectly. Cathy is a fantastic cook. We enjoyed a delicious mahi-mahi dinner with an amazing homemade sauce, followed by a wonderful breakfast the next morning. Scott has a great sense of humor and an endless collection of fascinating stories. He is an excellent host who kept us entertained and made us feel genuinely welcome. The house itself is a beautiful castle filled with history, stunning architecture, and an impressive collection of 18th-century antiques. We stayed in the Safari Room, which was beautifully decorated with unique antiques and treasures from around the world. Cathy decorated the room with great taste and attention to detail, and it was exceptionally clean. We highly recommend Daffodil House to anyone looking for a memorable stay. “Incredibly sweet hostess (Cathy) who truly cares and knows the area well. We stayed in the Safari room and loved all the decor. It came with a large private bath with plenty of fresh towels. Breakfast was served made to order eggs and bacon with delicious coffee and fresh fruit cup. Unique and thoroughly enjoyable experience staying here. ”

“We like bed and breakfasts because we usually get to engage with owners and other guests. The owner was lovely, and there was a very good on-site restaurant. We arrived early and had lunch and dinner there. Breakfast was not the gourmet meal others reviewers described because the owner needed surgery, and in fact, we were asked to leave an hour and a half early. Our impression of the interior of the house was that there was so much stuff (so-called "antiques" and memorabilia) that no flat surface existed, none. You bumped into things everywhere you went and had to move five things to put something down. We were only there one night, so we lived out of our suitcases, but I don't know where someone would put their clothes for a longer stay. Although the rooms were clean, all the stuff was dusty. Less is more... ”
