Positive: I really loved this place. Daria was exceptionally helpful and friendly. The location is really tranquil and well located for a stroll in the heather, and only about 15 minutes walk from the park entrance where we collected white bikes and cycled all day. The food was another level - almost everything is made from scratch, from the granola to the chai, and the staff are really proud of the quality of what they are serving. Breakfast wasn’t just a standard buffet - there was a special menu of items including yummy pots of overnight oats and berries, perfectly cooked eggs Benedict and more.
Summary: A real stay in nature, in a beautiful part of the Netherlands

Positive: The hotel is directly on the Veluwe Park which is super convenient. It has many of its rooms in cottages in the forest which is fun and feels adventurous. The rooms have a modern and warm decor. Very kid friendly. The dinner in the restaurant was excellent and super delicious and they had kids options. The staff are lovely.
Negative: The dinner took a long time to arrive, luckily we arrived early! Also the check in was a bit confusing as there is no reception but it also made it more friendly/informal.
Summary: Beautiful, family friendly and close to park/good walks

Positive:
The food was genuinely great. The location is hard to beat, right on the edge of the National Park de Hoge Veluwe, which makes it perfect if you want to get straight into nature.
The vibe is cozy but modern, which we liked a lot. It feels relaxed and comfortable rather than fancy. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful too.
Negative:
While we’ve enjoyed staying here in the past, there were several points this time that left us disappointed.
First, the price–quality ratio does not feel right. We paid €258 (including breakfast) for one night for two people, and the room was extremely small. It was not located in the main Lodge building, but in the separate Woonhuis — something that was not clearly communicated in advance. For this price, we would have expected more comfort and amenities. There was no kettle or coffee machine, no minibar, and barely any proper closet space. Hanging clothes was difficult, and overall the room felt too compact for a comfortable stay. In addition, the room was poorly insulated and very noisy; we could clearly hear the upstairs neighbors throughout the evening, which was disruptive.
We also booked via Booking.com, where the distinction between the Lodge (the main building with the restaurant and lounge) and the separate building is not clearly explained. If you are booking, it’s worth paying close attention to this. Staying in the separate building means walking through the woods in the dark to reach the main facilities, which is not ideal, especially at night.
Another issue was communication regarding dinner reservations. Because we booked through Booking.com, we did not receive any reminder to reserve a table in advance. Upon arrival, only one table was available at 17:00. While the staff helped us find a solution, we were surprised that hotel guests do not automatically receive clearer guidance or priority when it comes to dining availability.
In general, the staff were friendly and helpful, particularly in resolving the dinner situation. However, when we shared our feedback about the room, the noise, and the Booking listing, the response felt dismissive. Being told that we “should have booked directly” did not feel constructive.
Summary: Excellent location and cozy atmosphere, but overpriced with small rooms that lack basic amenities

Positive:
Very nice hotel in the middle of the trees. The staff is very kind and helpful.
Negative:
I normally don't leave bad ratings. The problem with the "atelier" room is that the heating is inefficient. I was too cold and had to keep my pullover on to sleep. There is a problem of conception with the heat pump that was not installed in the right part of the room. Perhaps it would have been better on a warmer day...
Summary: Nice hotel but not in winter
