“Upon arrival, there was a note on the front door that we had to check in at another hotel across the street. Worth noting - there was no front desk or front desk area even at this property, unlike what the listing said. We dropped off our bags at Hotel Bayrischer Hof Heidelberg as instructed. When we returned that night to get our bags and check in for the hotel we booked, we were told that we'd been upgraded to that hotel instead. The whole thing was strange but the room was nice. Only issue was that the heat was broken and stuck in the on position. We asked for assistance from the front desk and he ended up breaking the knob. We had to sleep with the windows open all night (it was December) just to survive the heat.”

“The room itself is adequate for a nights stay. We arrived later than check-in so attempted to use the ‘self-check in’ which didn’t work. A resident luckily helped out just before we were to phone for assistance. ”

“A great little hotel in perfect location near old downtown and Christmas markets. Recently refurbished old building. Great rooms. Only downside is no elevator but staff room I’ll help with luggage! ”
