Doubletree by Hilton Cape Cod - Hyannis Reviews
“Perfect choice for the area”
“The hotel is about a 20 min walk from main street so not a bad location. The hotel is a bit tired and in need of a refurb. its an okay hotel for a night or two”
“We were in room 219, which included a King bed plus a hide-a-bed sofa. The room had a large handicap shower. The problem is that it was on the 2nd floor, but to get to the room you had to climb an additional 7 steps. I would expect any Hilton chain hotel to include elevator service to any level. Such poor forethought. Other than a 1-page snippet, there was no printed information about services. A QR code was supposed to lead to all of this information, but much of it was either lacking or outright broken, e.g., the links to the restaurant menus brought up reservation request for another stay instead of menus. The toilet in our room didn’t flush very well. When this was reported they left a plunger outside the room, obviously expecting the customer to do the plunging! They located the one box of tissues on the toilet tank cover, and didn’t bother to have any other in the room. With having the hide-a-bed sofa, I would have expected them to at least ask if we wanted it made into a bed despite my telling them several times we needed two beds when they tried to get us to downgrade to a room with two double beds, but with no refund if we had done the downgrade. On the second day I had to request the hide-a-bed be made up after a disturbing night for my husband. The layout of the hotel, especially the location of the restaurants was very confusing. The only good thing was being able to charge our electric vehicle, but more slots per vehicle charging type would’ve been better.”
