Summary: Staff were very helpful and friendly and the food was excellent. The bedroom decor was a little run down and in need of updating, but the room and bathroom were clean and the bed was very comfortable; I slept well. I would definitely stay again.

Summary: The staff were very nice and friendly Food was excellent only negative was the bed was very lumpy so difficult to sleep and I was at the front of the property with a lot of road noise

Summary: Good location with easy parking. Friendly staff. Catering of a good standard-typical pub grub. Portions could be too large for some. Room especially en-suite needs attention to taps and visible rust on radiator. Signing to warn of steps could be improved. Rooms near front can be subject to smoking fumes from patrons below.

Summary: A great place for an overnight stop. Old fashioned ‘rooms above a pub’ (or as my 17 year old son said, ‘very D&D’).
Great to see a local pub doing so well - it was busy in the evening. Lovely setting too in Sedgefield - close to church and green.
The food is definitely a positive - had a pub meal in the evening and then hearty cooked breakfast.
Downside was that our room wasn’t fully cleaned - dirty towels on the floor of the bathroom. But we would stop over again.
