Edgewater Resort | Hotel in Ephraim

Stayed in one of the cottages that was pet friendly. Each afternoon from about 4 to 7 a fish boil was held right outside the door of the cottage eliminating parking. The people were watching the fish boil right outside our door. Would’ve liked to have known this as it was uncomfortable and inconvenient.

We stayed in mid-May and had an absolutely amazing experience. If you're looking for a little less congested of a place to stay in Door County Ephraim really seems like the place to be. We stayed in room 220, directly over the Old Post Office Restaurant and it was the first day of the season they were doing their fish boil so we grabbed a spot in that. The private dock was awesome for watching sunsets and it wasn't really warm enough yet that anyone was using the private beach. Everything at the facilities was very clean and well kept yet still had that 'old world' charm to it. We were only there for two nights so we didn't really interact too much with the staff which to us was a great thing, nothing we were wanting for and they left us be. The two ladies we met at the front desk at check-in and check-out were incredibly nice and very helpful with information about the area. Overall this was a fantastic getaway weekend and one we hope to take again in the not to distant future and I wouldn't want to stay anywhere other than here.

Had a full kitchen. Full size drip coffee maker and coffee. Every utensil and kitchen need was provided. Full fridge and ice maker in the freezer. Fireplace was a nice touch. Rooms and bathroom were a nice size and gave plenty of space. Bed was comfortable. The whole place was very clean. The property is in a great location. With pool, hot tub, sauna, restaurant, and gym on-site. Plus a private beach across the street on the lake for guests. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back.

We stayed late March, so off-season - The room was very clean and property was quiet. The staff was very friendly, and the complimentary chocolates were yummy. We had some issues, but were given a partial refund for those issues at the end, so the resort made it right. That said, it did hamper our experience: - The exterior light outside our room atop the stairs didn't work, so at night it was quite dark and a bit dangerous. - TV in the main living area didn't work - no power. The much smaller room TV did work though. - The fireplace didn't work. They said the pilot light likely blew out. - Neither my wife nor I had no cell reception - total dead zone - which is no fault of the resort, but the in-room telephone didn't work either. We couldn't make any outbound calls, not even to the front desk. This became a bigger issue when we had to contact a doctor for our daughter who had a medical emergency while traveling out of state. Each of these wasn't a big deal, but all of them together was. Again, the resort did provide a refund at the end since that's when we brought up the issues, but I think these things should have been checked and fixed prior to us staying there.
