Esmeralda Resort | Hotel in Orient Bay

“The location was amazing. Restaurant and beaches were superb! Our pool needed a good cleaning with some algae on the walls but otherwise a perfect location”

“It wasn’t as upscale as I would like. The island itself seemed like it was suffering economically and the seaweed on the beach was disappointing!”

“Nothing too fancy but decent for the price. Nice walk onto the beach ”

“I suggest they add a loveseat and coffee table to add a level of comfort. The rooms are large and could handle the additional furniture. ”

“My second stay here, I am a repeat guest! I love this place! The location is perfect, it is clean, quiet, the staff is friendly and helpful, the breakfast is always great whether you order something or just use the continental, and there is plenty of parking if you have a vehicle. As a solo traveler, I feel very safe in this area, and on the island which is a plus! The dinners at l’astrolabe restaurant are also yummy and delicious. I definitely recommend this place for a great stay!”

“I had a great time. Every staff member is helpful and very nice. My favorite amenity was the swimming pool. It's shared between four rooms. But in reality it's like your private pool. Good breakfast (not savory, you have to pay extra for that), gourmet dinner. Merci, Esmeralda!”

“Coming to this island, we didn't know what to expect - but once we arrived, the feel of the villas and landscaping were on point. It's a bit dated but it was perfect for the ambience. The bed was super comfy, the outdoor patio amazing and still private, even with the occupied villa right next door. Love the private pool and really indulged in having L'Astrolabe within walking distance. The restaurant is amazing and we got to enjoy the continental breakfast with an "American" upgrade every day. Everyone there was very friendly and helpful and made us feel SO welcome. We enjoyed the walk to the beach every time and getting to experience the different Beach Clubs along the beach was a nice experience. Our evening walks to Orient Village were easy going too. We will DEF be back. Thank you Esmeralda Resort, our 27th wedding anniversary was one to remember!”

“Restaurant is AMAZING & Staff Soooo Great! Location great & room is calm & beautiful ambiance. As Americans, the hard key for room & pool were both difficult & annoying when you can't access without help? Close to Grand Case which is a MUST for foodies & walking to the square for variety of grea t food ”

“The rooms are large and spacious and located perfectly within a 1-2 minute walk to the beach and beach clubs where you will spend your days. Each area has its own pool to lounge at, particularly at the end of the day. The on site restaurant is excellent with a perfect menu of options. ”

“i wish they would mention that there are renovated houses and non renovated. had to find out upon arrival that we will be staying at the not remodeled version. also, their check in is at 3 pm. expedia said its at 2 pm. so that one hour was a big difference for us since we still came on early- at around 12:30. coffee machine was at the kitchen, but no coffee was anywhere to find. in general, it would be not bad 3 start, but definitely not better than that and cost way too much ”
