Habyt Vienna | Hotel in Leopoldstadt, Vienna

Positive: Design is cute. Room gets dark and has plenty of space. Location is fine: You're not nearby to much (though the specialty coffee across the street is legitimately good), but it's right near a tram stop that gets you to the city center. Price is fine for what you get. Room was clean. Overall this was a decent stay that did the job.

Negative: No early check ins allowed (even if they have the room free and clean). Plus, they charge you 5 euro to store your luggage if you booked through Booking.com (it's free if you booked through their website). While I don't expect an early check in if the room isn't ready, it's such a nice thing when they can offer it (especially when you're getting in from ~15 hours of international travel): Instead, when I asked if they knew when the room would be ready, they just restated the check in time. There was no sense that they would have loved to check us in early if they could have or option for them to message us if it did become free. Charging 5 euro to leave our bags (up to 3 bags, higher cost for more bags fyi) for 45 minutes (we weren't trying to check in super super early or anything) felt like a weird money grab, especially when the guest they checked in right after us (as we opened our bags in the lobby to try and figure out how to consolidate and what we needed to have while we went back out and waited) got to leave his bags for free. It's not like leaving our bags costs them anything. I dunno, it was just a very unwelcoming start to the stay. Bedding was scratchy/felt cheap and pillows were so uncomfortable, unfortunately.

Positive: I only stayed here for one night while visiting Vienna, but I had a very pleasant experience! The property was easy to locate, which was especially appreciated after a day of traveling, and the facilities were very clean and well-maintained. The location was also very convenient, as it’s situated right along a tram line, making it easy to get around the city using public transportation. There were also plenty of restaurants nearby and several markets within walking distance where you could easily pick up water, snacks, or other necessities. Overall, it was a comfortable and convenient place to stay for a short visit to Vienna. I appreciated the cleanliness, easy access to public transportation, and nearby amenities. I would happily recommend it to other travelers!

Positive: Modern , clean , slick, spacious, comfortable,

Positive: Very nice hotel - such a quiet peaceful place - I never slept that good in any other hotel in Vienna. We really enjoyed the sauna and the welcoming and friendly people working there (reception, cleaners…)

Negative: Location a bit off but well connected with a little walk to the underground

Positive: Location, nice neighborhood, clean room, good price.

Negative: One small suggestion would be to improve the smell in the hotel halls and rooms. I’m not saying there was a bad smell, but a combination of more fresh air and a subtle, comfortable fragrance would make the overall experience even better. It may seem like a small detail, but the atmosphere and smell of a hotel are definitely things guests remember. This is certainly not a reason to give a lower rating on Booking.com, just a friendly reminder that it can make a meaningful difference to the overall experience.
