Harbor View Inn | Hotel in El Granada, California

“What a wonderful place to stay! This is our first visit to California and Harbor View in Half Moon bay was the 4th place we stayed. Everything from start to finish was very pleasant. Excellent customer service, very great and beautifully decorated room, comfortable bed and pillows and decent coffee in the lobby. Despite being near the road, the location was very quiet. Also accessible to many good restaurants.”

“We stayed on the bottom floor and you are able to hear everything. The people talking and walking. The sheets were stained as well as some of the towels. The curtains were stained as well. It wasn’t super clean. The lighting sucked. It wasn’t the best. Overall it was okay, wouldn’t stay there again.”

“I love to give great reviews but I can’t with this stay. We had problems with the air conditioning split unit high up on the wall. The first night it did not work at all. The second night it poured out water onto the wall hanging and puddled on the floor next to the bed. We just reported it, turned the air conditioner off, draped a towel on the wall hanging and used a towel to dry the floor. Strange but it was unusually hot at the coast and we needed to cool the room.”

“The remodel is beautiful, enjoyed the new bed and colors in the room. The wall fireplace was a nice touch! One of the few hotels that actually has a guide to scroll on the TV. Great location in between Half Moon Bay and Pacifica. This was our third time there and first time since the remodel. Will always go back.”

“Location was good across the street from the Pillar point harbor and in front of Hwy 1. Check-in went well with Resturant recommendation of which we selected La Costenera a Peruvian cuisine that was delicious! Walking around the area felt safe and we enjoyed the scenery. Unfortunately the neighboring noise level from rooms around us were quite high until about 10:30 pm. Room was comfortable but the beds were worn out. In addition body wash was empty. Parking was ample and felt secure.”

“We checked in later than planned because when we arrived our room wasn't available due to a leaky shower that had flooded the bathroom. The repair ended up requiring a part that could not be had until the next day so we were offered a refund or we could stay in the room as is. We chose the latter and were given extra towels to soak up the water. The next day the issue was resolved. I liked the room and especially that we could safely leave the windows open at night, keeping the room very cool. I also liked the electric teak kettle included in addition to the coffee maker. The location was good for walking to restaurants, the beach, and the walking trail but also so close to Hwy 1 that traffic noise was constant.”

“A great find for a family four. Looks like it was recently renovated… modern and clean. The parking lot is neat and tidy. It’s close by the ocean waterfront so lots of dining options. Very close to Moss Beach and Maverick Beach! Kids had fun and enjoyed their stay :)”
