Positive: The cottage has all you need for a comfortable stay.
The owners also kindly left us some helpful stuff like milk, butter, jam and even eggs! So we managed to make ourselves some decent breakfasts.
Negative: The major downside is the unmade road leading up to the cottage. The short drive up to the gates was very uncomfortable and heart-stopping as we have a fairly new car. It can do untold damage to your car as the potholes are MASSIVE!
The other issue is the main bed, with one side almost touching the wall, which means my poor wife (who's not even big!) had to sidle, crab-like, up to her side of the bed. Maybe the design and fit of the furniture could be altered slightly.
Last but not least, the loo roll holder could be better placed, as its current position means you have to turn 180 degrees to your right to reach it, when you're seated! Given the restricted space, it would be a better idea to use a free-standing loo roll holder.
Summary: Great cottage in a great location, shame about the road.

Positive: Great location. Easy access to Dover, Walmer, Deal - well, the whole of the coast. Facilities were good, bathroom, kitchen etc. Lovely and secluded, especially during the evenings for a cup of tea at the front of the apartment.
Negative: Not clean - had to hoover and clean kitchen area on first entry. I noticed the bogies attached to the walls from previous visitors?
Didn’t receive any toiletries - shower gel, shampoo etc
No detergent for using the washing machine
No tea towels or proper kitchen cloths - dish sponge/cloth. Had to buy our own to keep kitchen area clean
Bed was too high, we kept falling out of it
TV kept losing connection. Couldn’t watch anything on it without disruption
Iron has obviously had it, the limescale coming out of it as you tried to iron
The chairs to sit outside property covered in cob webs and pigeon poo, DISGUSTING!
Fridge needed a clean, little bits of food/dirt left from previous visitors
Given all the above, not sure if it was worth the money we paid. I expected exceptional, but this was mediocre.
Summary: Not a cottage, just an apartment that needed a lot of TLC!

Location was good but bit difficult to drive with narrow roads. Not much shopping except in Dover.
Negative:
Plumbing a bit noisy with water pump and s. some pipe hammer as regular intervals. When fixed would be good.
