Excellent stay overall! Ocean view from the room was amazing! The room was clean and thoughtful details were considered. Would definitely stay here again!

If you’re looking for quiet luxury with the most amazing view, look no further! This hotel was incredible. We stayed in room 17, the view was to die for, the bed slept so comfortable, and it was serene! We will be back!

First visit

My partner and I were very excited to stay here. Before our arrival, we were informed that the occupancy during our visit would be low, so we inquired about a paid upgrade at check-in. Unfortunately, our request was denied, even though we saw many vacant rooms and very few cars in the parking lot. This left us confused about the unavailability of an upgrade. Additionally, the room next to ours was booked by a family who were up very early, and we could hear every footstep. We had hoped for a bit more privacy during our stay. On a positive note, we thoroughly enjoyed the food in the restaurant, and the live music was a wonderful touch. However, we wished we had been acknowledged as hotel guests during our meal, as other guests were. The server assumed we were not staying at the hotel (despite our reservation) and dropped off the check without asking, which made us feel a bit singled out. Overall, all of the associates were extremely friendly, and the views were absolutely stunning!

Just spent three nights in Mendocino at the Heritage House Resort. It was a beautiful resort, and the staff was very welcoming and thoughtful throughout our stay. We went to their spa for treatment and that was wonderful as well. We had rented the two-bedroom cottage, and they made sure we had firewood stacked and ready to light and brought us smores to enjoy one evening. The small touches were many! Their daily breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious with beautiful views from the dining room. I hope to return one day to this very special property.

Fantastic stay on the coast. The rooms were perfect sized, with a very comfortable bed, and amazing views. We loved the fireplace in our room, plus the breakfast buffet was amazing. Very dog-friendly. Highly recommend.

Breakfast was very good with views that were even better. We especially enjoyed the free tesla charging stations. Units spread out over large piece of property so never felt crowded.

Waking up to the sound of the waves and the sight of the rugged coastline was the highlight of the trip. What truly sets this property apart is the full-service experience. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure every detail is perfect. We felt completely taken care of from check-in to check-out—the service is polished, professional, and genuinely warm. The breakfast was exceptional and exactly what we needed to fuel up for a long day of adventures. It provided the perfect "set-off" for exploring the nearby hiking trails and coastal scenery. Whether you're celebrating a milestone birthday or just need to disappear into the Redwoods and sea mist for a few days, this is the spot. It is a true sanctuary. I cannot wait to come back!
