Summary: This is a charming little place--a motel from yesteryear that has been refurbished. The biggest sales point for me is that it is completely out of the town of Luray (although close enough to go to town for food) on the road to Shenandoah National Park. The setting is rural and idyllic and very quiet.
The second main draw is that the office manager is the best I've ever experienced at communicating with guests, almost to a fault. We received numerous e-mails before our arrival and again during our stay and after we left. No misunderstandings here!
Our room was clean and comfortable enough. I think the main drawback was that rooms are long and exceedingly skinny, so there's barely enough room to navigate around the beds. Our bathroom (the end part of the thin rectangle) was so small, that my husband couldn't shave and I couldn't blow dry my hair in front of the bathroom mirror, because the space was literally too cramped to lift our elbows. We managed, but we probably wouldn't come back unless we planned to stay only one or two nights.

Summary: A fantastic side of the road hotel. The staff was very friendly. Room was clean. Bed comfy. Not a lot of frills, but would definitely stay again.

Summary: We booked the room to attend my nephew’s wedding nearby. The motel is really old but very clean. Just prepare for ants which is natural since it is in the mountains. The manager was extremely helpful when we had a couple of issues.

Summary: I had read in the reviews how wonderful the staff was. There was no staff when we were there. Not at check in at 3:30 or when we checked out at 7:30. All done via email, which would be ok if there were no issues but our shower had no soap in the dispenser . The room was clean but very dated. The toilet seat and shower head should be replaced. The water pressure was good but the pipes were very loud. The pillows were great but the mattress was quite uncomfortable, we kept rolling towards the middle.

Summary: The room was kind of small and had bare floors. The pipes while using the shower sounded like Marion Crane. The hotels surroundings are scenic. The property seems to
be on the old side so don't expect too much.

Summary: This is a lovely hotel in a very rural area of Virginia. We were very happy with the quality and cleanliness of the room and bathroom. Only reason that it's not a 5 star is because the microwave was non- functional. Otherwise, fantastic place.

Summary: Room was clean but not efficient for two adults with luggage. Bathroom needs a simple vanity or shelf on which to place personal hygiene items. Bedroom needs more space on which to place open luggage. Too much money for the value of the stay.

Summary: Clean room but could have used more shampoo and soap. Staff did not freshen up room during the day, would have liked clean towels and trash removed. Pool was closed and ice machine was broken. Plenty of parking and grounds were clean and inviting.
