Hostellerie Pointe Saint-Mathieu Reviews
“Had a lovely stay overall, but the hotel isn’t without its flaws. It’s a very nice property in a beautiful location. Facilities are very good for a hotel of this size with a brilliant spa/pool/deck area to relax in, although you are limited to an hour per day as a hotel guest (not great). Two great restaurants on site, including an excellent Michelin starred one. And it really was very good. Rooms are on the small side, and those in the top floor have the roof angles to contend with, so the rooms do feel quite cramped, plus shower in the bath is never a great look and something that was missed from what looks like a relatively recent refurb. There is also no AC, which for the price point of the hotel really isn’t ok. Our room got very hot and stuffy and it wasn’t even that hot! Goodness knows what it’s like when it’s hotter!!! So if it’s hot (or you like to sleep cold), avoid the top floor, make sure you’ve a window (not all rooms do) as well as the door to the balcony and stay on the east side facing the lighthouse. It’s a great property with incredible views and quality facilities, but lack of AC and small rooms don’t quite align to the price.”
“Nice hotel with tremendous location, rooms meeting expectations for a 4 stars hotel (price over average), bar with a excellent choice. The restaurant is close on Monday which leaves you with the bistrot (which doesn’t meet the level of the rest)”
“Great location, considering the circumstances the service was excellent and staff outstanding. Beautiful room and food was superb”
