“STAFF was very helpful. ROOM was a decent size for the price and location. LOCATION (Geylang, near Katong) was excellent, adjacent to so many things: 1. Joo Chiat, a trendy, low-rise historical street with lovely Peranakan architecture, cafes, boutiques, nice restaurants. 2. Multiple air-conditioned indoor malls with varied food offerings, supermarkets, medical, conveniences, etc. 3. No less than four nearby hawker centers with dozens of tasty, cheap, food stalls (mainly SE Asian). 4. Most major religious denominations represented. 5. East Coast Park (better for walking through greenways than the admittedly dirty beach). 6. And, of course, nearby MRT station with two critical lines. No more than one line change to get you almost anywhere in Singapore. Downsides are typical for rooms on a budget: e.g., bed and towels aren't the most comfortable. No deal-breakers, though.”

“A return stay, as i said i would. Its my go-to hotel whenever im back if on a budget, at the price point, nothing to complain. Rooms are large and comes with bathtub, property has a swimming pool and within walking distance from bus stop and train station and yet surrounded by eateries. Though hotel may be a bit dated, thus it does look old school and worn out a bit but overall its a steal and value for money.”

“1. This was my second stay at the hotel, and once again it offered good value for money. 2. The room was spacious, comfortable, and a good size for my needs. 3. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist. 4. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would consider returning in the future.”

“Hotel was in a lovely area with good food courts nearby, easy transport via the MRT or Grab taxi. The room was big and spacious. Unfortunately, it was in poor repair. The curtain linings were town, the bath was very scratched to the point it was stained and the fridge rattled a lot (until I 'MacGyvered' 2 wooden stirrers to stop the shelf from rattling 😉). Night staff were incredibly noisy cleaning at 1am to the point I went out to ask them to be quiet. A bit ironic, as there are signs asking guests to be quiet between 10pm and 7am. I didn't ask to be moved room, as my travel companions were not disturbed by it all and I didnt want to be moved too far away from them.”

“Good value from an old hotel, large rooms, nearby eating places and MRT/bus. With the bonus of a swimming pool, which equivalent small hotels do not have! Who needs flash expensive hotels when this is very adequate, giving you more spending money to use elsewhere!”

“One of the few hotels in Singapore with a pool for around S$100 per night. The second time we have stayed here, the staff are very nice, surrounded by plenty of food options. The pool is refreshing though shallow (waist height), less than a.10 minute walk to nearest train station. ”
