Hotel Arok Reviews
Reviewer Type: Extended Group
Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: This hotel was exceptional in every way. Great location across from the train station. The staff were professional, friendly and very helpful. The king size bed was very very comfortable. The blackout curtains were excellent. The room and hotel in general were spotless and well maintained, especially since it is a renovated old building. The room door and windows were soundproof so there was no noise from the hallway or outside. The breakfast choices and quality were very good.
Negative: People with mobility issues could have problems in the narrow hallways and breakfast room which have steps to navigate.
Summary: We loved Hotel Arok!

Positive:
very friendly staff, free coffee in the reception
Negative:
in room 400, don't know if elsewhere, there is a distinct irritating noise from the airco, plus a slight vibration which you can feel on the wall (and the bed if it is touching the wall) , as the engine/ventilator is positioned on the outside face of the wall;
with earbuds and pulling the bed away from the wall it can work out, but if your sleep is light it is annoying

Positive:
We stayed at the new wing of the hotel: everything was brand new. I like the style and design of the hotel. The receptionists were very friendly and nice. Breakfast was good: not too extensive variety but everything that one can need. Location is good, very close to the city Centre, late in the evening keep in mind it’s near the train station (it was slightly sketchy) but in general felt safe.
Negative:
The windows on floors below 5 floor can’t be open, and the use of air conditioner seems to be seasonal. Even though the temperature is the room was fine I find it’s a bit uncomfortable not to be able to have fresh or cool air. I think it would be better to allow a small window opening.
Summary: Stylish Hotel – Great Value and Friendly Service
