“Prided for being the oldest hotel in Denmark, you can feel its history the moment you step into the lobby, with its charming period furnishings. If you want a true taste of history, this is the place to stay. The rooms are adequate and warm, though ours had a rather slanted floor. The location is excellent.. right next to the cathedral and at the start of Ribe’s old street, two of the town’s main attractions.
A small hiccup during check-in: there was no one at reception, and calls to the provided number went unanswered, which meant we couldn’t access the private parking. Breakfast, however, was fantastic, with a nice variety of options.”

“The property is beautiful. The employees are very kind and accommodating. The hotel does not have an elevator. All rooms are located upstairs and hard for those that need assistance. ”

“Very steep stairs and even though we booked 6 months in advance we didn’t even get to stay in the hotel rather we were in an annexe down the road. Also ate in and dinner was average as was breakfast”

“we were travelling around Jutland. We are from Canada.We chose this hotel for the nostalgia. All the floors were not level. my husband felt that he was rolling towards the side of the bed.Which is understandable for the oldest hotel in Denmark. Upon entering our bathroom, we were not satisfied with the cleanliness of the shower area. So we opted not to shower that day. With regards to parking, you have to park offsite about 250 m away. You were able to pull up in front of the hotel to unload. Breakfast was included and it was just okay.”
