Hotel des Bains | Hotel in Gerardmer, Grand Est

“Good stay overall. We stayed for a couple of nights in the family room #10. Room was clean, comfy and spacious. The bedroom is made of 2 rooms. The main one includes the double bed and the bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. The second room has 2 single beds and a separate toilet. Both rooms have a balcony, TV’s and wardrobes. Staff was friendly, especially the two ladies from the breakfast. Buffet breakfast was good, with a good selection of bread, pastries, cereals, juices, etc. Private and secured free parking at the back of the hotel. ”

“The hotel location is excellent for the town a only a 5 minute walk to the lake. The hotel is a bit dated but in a quirky way. Our room was compact but had everything we needed shower, wc, tv, & balcony. Parking is free & secure, there is plenty of on street parking close by. Continental breakfast is served in a nice room and plenty of choice. After 21:00 the reception and front door is locked, with access gained by a coded gate & door. Staff were friendly and helpful. ”

“While the outside isn't really much to look at (when we pulled-up, I was thinking 'no wonder we got such a great rate'), I would definitely stay at the Hotel des Bains next time I go to Gerardmer. It's a straightforward, old-style hotel. However, our room was nicely decorated and thoroughly cleaned each day; there's a great combo-bar/lounge/café off the lobby with a free Internet connected-computer and widescreen TV (mainly used by kids); and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I would recommend it for families, friends and couples alike. It was fairly noisy during the morning and late-afternoon 'commutes' to/back from the slopes, but no more than for an hour or so at a time (and didn't really disturb my night's sleep).”
