Hotel Federale | Hotel in Lugano City-Centre, Ticino

Hotel Federale is a family-owned hotel in Lugano, set in a quiet spot halfway up the hill with the train station a short 3-minute walk away. From here, you can move easily between the town center, the lakeshore, and Piazza Riforma, where the city’s sidewalk cafés give the day its pace. It suits both leisure and business travelers who want a central stay that still feels calm at the door. Inside, the rooms are made for settling in after time on the street. Some units feature a balcony or terrace with views toward Monte Bré, while others look out over the town. Air conditioning, heating, internet, TV, and laundry support the practical side of a stay, and pet friendly access makes it easier to travel with company. Where available, the balcony space adds a quiet place to pause above the city. The hotel keeps the shared experience straightforward. You’ll find a restaurant with an elegant, understated feel, a bar for an unhurried evening drink, and breakfast to start the day. Business services and limited meeting facilities support work trips, while parking and an EV charging station add convenience for guests arriving by car. Accessibility features are also available, including wheelchair accessible spaces. Step outside and Lugano is close at hand on foot, with the train station, town center, and lakeshore all within an easy urban rhythm.
