Hotel Jakoberhof | Hotel in Innenstadt, Bavaria

“Location is great!!! Noisy because of trams, people and vehicles. Our room was big and very comfortable. No elevator! Rene was great in suggesting us Three Queens to eat. Shower water ran all over the floor. Right across from Fuggerie social housing.”

“Good location - near tram / bus stops and just across the street from the Fuggerei. There are also a grocery store and plenty of food options nearby. Rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. Be prepared to walk up the stairs, there is no elevator (however, this was not a deterrent for our group) If I stay in Augsburg again, I will stay at the Jakoberhof.”

“Excellent quality / price ratio. Spacious and clean room, comfortable bed, electrical kettle with coffee and tea in the room, bathtub in the bathroom, delicious breakfast, parking place in front of the hotel. Small point that might be bothering - tramways in front of the hotel passing-by somehow noisy.”

“Nice hotel near to the city center. Spacious room with comfortable bed. Keetle with coffee and tea. Bathtub in the bathroom. Tasty breakfast with various choice. Warm welcome. Parking available in front of the hotel. Excellent ratio quality/price. The only point that might be proximity of the tramway making noise while passing.”

“Everything ws excellent ”

“Room was clean ,breakfast was very simple. It is more like hostel.”

“Nice for the price and had lots of room. Just needs a little updating.”

“Overall, it was not bad. The streets were a bit noisy much of the night, but eventually quieted down. Since it was pretty hot, the fan and open windows were nice. Also, it was great to have onsite parking. Right across from Fuggerai.”

“Nice people, lovely town, noisy trams right outside the window”

“Nice little hotel - imagine a university dorm, and you’ll get a feel for it. It’s not a traditional type of hotel, the rooms are in a separate building. Perfectly comfy though - good shower, good heater, bed ok. I had to ask for extra blanket and I wish I had had an extra pillow. I also wish there had been water or a kettle or something in the room. There was shampoo and shower gel combined, but that’s it. Hair dryer too, but no tissues. Didn’t try breakfast. Communications were ok - they tried to be helpful with bus and tram info from Train station but they only gave me a part of the puzzle. In the end it’s not far, it’s 20 min in foot. If you want to take a bus it’s the 23 from the street to the left of the station (where Radastation is). Don’t go into Banhofstrassa, as the bus and trams there won’t take you to the hotel, which is on Fuggerei stop. You can get to Radaplatz and take the tram line 1, but for 3 euros you may prefer to walk. I was told taxi would have been 6 euros. The hotel is 3 min walk to Rathausplatz and there are lots of places to eat nearby. Anyway, for £55 a night it was fine. Don’t let your first impressions cloud your judgement.”
