“I traveled to central Java as a solo female to run Borobudur marathon. There are several 5 star resorts in the area, I spent a significant amount of time making a decision and I am now more than happy with my hotel choice, Le Temple Borobudur. The grounds are immaculate, designed to perfection with a piece of art or plant or just another unique stupa at every corner, an ideal place for a short mindful walk to start or to end your day. Le Table, is probably the most serene and beautifully decorated restaurant I have ever been. The staff was very professional, yet friendly and relaxed, willing to accommodate all my food requests, also very knowledgeable and informative about Javanese cuisine. Rishma, in particular, was very kind and attentive, she made my meal time a true calming and mindful experience. The complimentary afternoon tea is absolutely to not be missed, I enjoyed it in silence in the privacy of my beautiful stupa or on the rooftop of the restaurant, alone, while taking in the 360 °stunning greenery of the valley. It was delightful to finally meet Kiki, guest relations officer, after months of excellent online communication. She was flexible and patient, she also made pre arrangements for all my activities and she ensured prompt and high quality transportation.
