Amazing place to stay right in the heart of everything on Government Street. It is one of my favorite places to stay!!!

The hotel was in a great location. I wish I could have found somewhere in the description that there was a bar directly above the room. The noise from both the bar and the stairwell adjacent to the room was louder than any time I have stayed on Bourbon St. in the New Orleans French Quarter. The bed was not too comfortable and the pillows were very uncomfortable. I liked having coffee available, but it would have been more convenient if the coffee was located in the room instead of the lobby. Overall, I enjoyed the stay. I personally do not think the quality was worthy of the price.

The hotel operates with minimal on-site staff, relying instead on electronic key codes for property access. While convenient, the system takes a bit of practice to use efficiently. A layout diagram showing exits and room locations would have been extremely helpful. Unfortunately, the elevator was out of service during our stay, which made getting luggage to our second-floor suite challenging—we had to make multiple trips. Navigating the property felt like going through a maze of stairwells, hallways, and doorways. Only after reaching our room did we realize there was a more direct stairwell we could have used. That said, the room itself was excellent. It was spacious, thoughtfully designed, and very comfortable. The shower, in particular, stood out—much larger than what you’d find even in hotels at a much higher price point. There was a ceiling fan, but it was not operational. Additionally, the room could benefit from furniture with drawers or at least a luggage rack, especially given the large closet space. Overall, Mojo was an enjoyable place to stay. While there were some notable shortcomings, they didn’t outweigh the unique charm and ambiance of the property.
